Textbooks for Farmers' Kids

KEANNEY-DIAZ EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTE (KDEI) is an out-reach mission school handled by the Leaven of the Immaculate Heart of Mary sisters located at Bo. Kita-kita, San Jose City, Nueva Ecija. This school was established in 2005 to help the poor families, especially the farmers in the area to send their children for a FREE Secondary Catholic education. This means, they do not pay tuition fee. All we ever wanted is for these poor youth to avail of the chance to be educated with a moral and spiritual upbringing. Some of these students who are far from the school area are accepted as our boarders who stay with us until they graduate. At present, we are in dire need of generous sponsors for the full payment of the students’ textbooks. We need to pay PhP 323,232.00 to be fully paid. For 12 years, the students here did not use textbooks since they are incapable of purchasing books. This year, we dared to order books for five subject areas (English, Filipino, Math, Science and Social Studies) for every grade level. These books will not be owned by the students. These will be used by the next batches for at least five years. Fortunately, a publishing company allowed us to pay whenever we can within this school year. We are humbly knocking at your heart’s door to help us raise this amount for the benefit of our poor students. Any amount you give shall be greatly appreciated.
